Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes may have said it best after Sunday afternoon’s game:

“It’s been rainbows and flowers and awesome for these last few years, but when you want to build something substantial, something great, you’re going to go through parts like this.”

This was a 27-3 loss at the Tennessee Titans on Sunday that stands among the worst in the Mahomes era for Kansas City. Kinda like that Super Bowl loss to Tampa Bay, only with one field goal instead of three. The Titans scored on all five first-half possessions, the Chiefs on none.

It was that kind of game.

So, let’s talk about what wrong and what went ... even more wrong. Can it be fixed? KC Star beat writers Herbie Teope and Sam McDowell join columnists Vahe Gregorian and Sam Mellinger in breaking down the game on our weekly post-game SportsBeat Live stream.
