Jesse Eisenberg Doesn’t Know If Lex Luthor Is In Justice League Part One

‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’ didn’t just see the debut of Ben Affleck’s Batman and Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, we were also introduced to Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor, too.

Since Jesse Eisenberg is one of the most talented young actors in American cinema and Lex Luthor is an iconic villain in Superman’s oeuvre, you’d imagine that we’ll be seeing a lot more of the character as Warner Bros.’ DC Universe expands.

But the Academy Award nominated actor has now admitted that he doesn’t know when he’ll return as Lex Luthor, insisting that he’s yet to iron out the details of his future with the studio.

“I don’t know if they are so settled on where my character goes,” Jesse Eisenberg told Business Insider. “I only hope I have another opportunity to work with these wonderful people and play this interesting character.”

Just a quick warning, I’m about to touch upon the conclusion to ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’. So you probably shouldn’t read ahead if you’ve not seen it.

Are they gone? Good. So at the end of ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’ Lex Luthor is imprisoned for his numerous crimes.

Ben Affleck’s Batman visits the insane billionaire, who teases the Caped Crusader by insisting that there are many more dangers that will soon threaten the world. Lex Luthor knows this because he was exposed to Kryptonian technology.

This interaction suggests that Lex Luthor will return in one form or another in future DC films. In fact, I’d be surprised if the actor wasn’t already contracted to appear in numerous films as the maniacal foe.

Meanwhile the fact that Zack Snyder and the Warner Bros. team are yet to figure out exactly what to do with Lex Luthor will only add further fuel to the fire for naysayers of the director’s work in the DC universe.

But since ’Justice League Part One’ will be released in just 19 months time on November 17, 2017, and production on it is due to begin in the next couple of weeks, we can expect Jesse Eisenberg’s participation to be leaked, teased, or confirmed in the very near future.
