Yahoo Movies Jeremy Allen White will sing in Bruce Springsteen biopic
Jeremy Allen White has confirmed he will attempt to sing when he assumes the role of Bruce Springsteen in an upcoming biopic.
Deliver Me from Nowhere was announced back in March, with White set to play The Boss as he prepares to record what is now considered his landmark album, 1982’s Nebraska.
With some of the film likely to include scenes of recording sessions, White revealed to Variety that he would attempt to sing live for the film, saying: “We’re gonna try. We’re gonna try our best.”

The star, best known for his roles in The Bear and The Iron Claw, also shared that he was yet to meet the legendary singer, but intended to do so as he prepares for the role, saying: “We’ve communicated a little bit through some other people, but I hope this still all comes together.
“We’ve still got a few things, we’ve got some timing stuff to work out, and I’m trying to have a bit of my own process with it before meeting the man, too. I wanna try to have an understanding, so when I meet him, I’ll have a bit of confidence somewhere in me to stand there.”
Whilst there will be some time before Deliver Me from Nowhere, White will soon be seen in the third season of The Bear, which follows Carmy Berzatto as he attempts to cope in the heated world of cooking.

“We let a lot of these beautiful characters and beautiful actors shine that maybe haven’t had their moments in previous seasons,” he said of the third season. “The world gets bigger, but we also maintain the same heart, structure, energy that we had in the very beginning.
“She did a beautiful job,” he added when referring to co-star’s Ayo Edebiri directing debut. “She was very confident. Everybody knows how smart she is, and she’s a beautiful actress and a very intuitive actress. And I think she’s a very beautiful and intuitive director as well.”
Deliver Me from Nowhere currently has no release date. The Bear streams on Disney+.
