Jennifer Lopez’s Wedding Becomes a Hostage Situation in Trailer for Action-Rom-Com ‘Shotgun Wedding’ (Video)

Jennifer Lopez straddles the action and romantic comedy genres in her next film “Shotgun Wedding,” and the first trailer promises a laugh-filled, high-octane affair. Kind of like “Die Hard” at a wedding.

Lopez and Josh Duhamel star as a couple who gather their family and friends for the ultimate destination wedding, but just as the two start to get cold feet, the wedding is crashed by Lopez’s ex (played by Lenny Kravitz) and the entire wedding party is taken hostage.

If you’ve ever wanted to see Jennifer Coolidge use a machine gun or a wedding dress get turned into a hand-to-hand combat outfit, this is the movie for you.

Armie Hammer was originally set to star before production began, but Duhamel took over the role when troubling Hammer accusations surfaced.

Jason Moore (“Pitch Perfect”) directs “Shotgun Wedding” from a screenplay by Mark Hammer (“Two Night Stand”). Todd Lieberman, David Hoberman, Alexander Young, Jennifer Lopez, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Benny Medina produce.

Watch the “Shotgun Wedding” trailer in the video above. The film premieres on Prime Video on Jan. 27 and also stars Sônia Braga, Cheech Marin, Selena Tan, D’Arcy Carden, Callie Hernandez, Desmin Bores, Steve Coulter and Alberto Isaac.
