Jennifer Lawrence's return to the limelight is proving to be a fashionable one.

The Don't Look Up actress made an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert wearing a long-sleeved, body-con dress with white polka dots by Oscar de la Renta, worn with black Jimmy Choo pumps and pearl drop earrings - the stylish ensemble was put together by celebrity stylist Kate Young.

During her interview with Colbert, Lawrence, who is expecting her first child with husband Cooke Maroney, opened up about life away from the spotlight, having taken a three-year hiatus from Hollywood.

"I just had a ton of sex," she said before cracking into laughter. "I'm joking. I cooked a little. I mean, the pandemic happened, and then I cooked and I cleaned a lot."

She went on to explain that taking the time to not be a public figure helped her learn some "deep and profound" lessons about herself.

"It was really nice. I've always found comfort in a schedule and doing something and being somewhere, and just kind of the comfort of being on set where the world is one thing and very organised," she said. "I think coming out of Hunger Games and all of that, it was nice. I took a break and nobody really cared, and it was quiet and I got to feel like I could become a part of the world again without fanfare. Literal fanfare."

Lawrence recently made a post-hiatus red-carpet appearance at the world premiere of Don't Look Up. For the occasion, she wore a shimmering gold gown by Dior, the French fashion house she's been an ambassador for since 2012.
