Jennifer Lawrence Embarrassed Herself In Front of Harrison Ford & J.J. Abrams

After appearing on British chat show ‘The Graham Norton Show’ on Friday (13 May), Hollywood A-lister Jennifer Lawrence revealed her rather awkward encounter with the legendary Harrison Ford.

Joining ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ co-star James McAvoy and comedian Jack Whitehall on the sofa, Lawrence shared an amusing but humiliating tale about the time she met superstar Harrison Ford and ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ director J.J. Abrams.

The ‘Hunger Games’ star recalls the time she was out on the town where the encounter happened: “Jack [Whitehall] and I met on a magical night out and I humiliated myself, more than I ever have before.”

“For the first time ever in my career – I never assume anyone knows who I am – I saw Harrison Ford and J.J. Abrams, and was like, ‘Yeah this is fine, we’re all co-workers…. Be right back guys, I’m gonna go say hi to the ‘Star Wars’ dudes!’”

After greeting the table in the only way J-Law knows how - by doing a kooky dance, it seems - no one actually recognised her, which made thing extremely awkward.

“I realised, while I was dancing, ‘they have no idea who I am’, so I just turned around and walked back.” It seems that not even being one of the biggest stars in the world can get you noticed, which gives little hope to the rest of us.

To cap Jen’s story off, Whitehall then shared his experience - having done ‘The Graham Norton Show’ previously with Ford - the comedian decided to waltz up to the Han Solo actor and, to his relief, recognised him straight away.

The actor also went on to share the new design for Mystique’s look, which is the character she plays in the film.

“Turns out, they never had to do eight hours of full-blown body paint ever,” Lawrence joked, revealing the process to make her look blue was a lot simpler than it had previously been: “It’s a blue pantyhose that goes around my whole body that I can’t sit to pee in.”

Jennifer Lawrence has been in the UK, along with co-star James McAvoy and a host of others, promoting her latest film, ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’, which is in cinemas 18 May.
