Senior Arab officials warn that Trump Gaza plan would inflame Middle East
U.S. President Donald Trump's plan to take over Gaza and resettle Palestinians, which has drawn global condemnation, will threaten a fragile ceasefire in the enclave and fuel regional instability, senior Arab officials said on Wednesday. Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Gheit warned the World Government Summit in Dubai that if Trump pressed ahead with his plan, he would lead the Middle East into a new cycle of crises with a "damaging effect on peace and stability." Trump enraged the Arab world by declaring unexpectedly that the United States would take over Gaza, resettle its over 2-million Palestinian population and develop it into the "Riviera of the Middle East."

It said Wednesday that the drone was observed entering Gaza from Israel after past attempts to use drones to smuggle in weapons. Gaza’s Health Ministry says a 44-year-old man was killed in an Israeli strike near the southern city of Rafah on Wednesday, without providing further details.

Malaysian court orders government, analyst to pay damages in Mongolian murder case
A Malaysian court has ordered the government and a political analyst, Abdul Razak Baginda, to pay a total of more than 9 million ringgit ($2 million) to the family of murdered Mongolian Altantuya Shaariibuu, media said on Wednesday. The victim of one of Malaysia's most gruesome murders, her body was blown up with military-grade explosives in a forest on the edge of the capital, Kuala Lumpur, in 2006. Two former members of the security detail of Najib Razak, then the defense minister, were convicted of the crime in 2015.

Austrian steelmaker voestalpine cut its core profit outlook on Wednesday after the metric slumped by nearly a third in its fiscal third quarter largely due to weakness in Europe, especially in the automotive and construction sectors.
