Jenna Ortega lands next lead movie role
Jenna Ortega is in talks to star in new movie The Gallerist.
The Wednesday star is eyeing up a lead role in the film, which is set to co-star Natalie Portman.
According to Deadline, the movie will centre on "a desperate gallerist who conspires to sell a dead guy at Art Basel Miami".

The Gallerist will be directed by Cathy Yan of Birds of Prey fame, who has co-written the feature with James Pedersen.
In addition to starring, Portman is on board to produce alongside Sophie Mas, Jonathan King, Ash Sarohia, Tom McCarthy, Rae Baron, Sophie Mas and Zola Elgart Glassman.
Ortega is currently busy filming Wednesday season 2, with Netflix sharing a behind-the-scenes video of the cast on set in late September.

The teaser gives a first look at Ortega in the titular role for season 2, before concluding with her in voiceover: "If we showed you any more, your eyes would bleed… and I’m not that generous."
Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán will return to reprise their roles as Wednesday's parents Morticia and Gomez Addams, plus A Good Girl's Guide to Murder star Emma Myers is back as fellow Nevermore Academy pupil Enid Sinclair.
Season two – arriving in 2025 – will also see new cast members, including Scoop's Billie Piper, Fool Me Once's Joanna Lumley, Boardwalk Empire’s Steve Buscemi and Westworld’s Thandiwe Newton.
In addition to her Wednesday commitments, Ortega is signed on to a new untitled project from Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J Abrams that begins production next year.
She's also playing the titular role in Taika Waititi’s upcoming adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro’s novel Klara and the Sun alongside Amy Adams and Poker Face's Natasha Lyonne.
Wednesday season 1 is available to stream now on Netflix. Season 2 is expected in 2025.
