Wedding bells are drawing closer for Jenna Dewan and Steve Kazee.

The Rookie actress, 43, shared on The Jennifer Hudson Show that she and her fiancé — who got engaged back in 2020 — are finally moving ahead with wedding plans after putting it on hold due to several circumstances.

“We’ve been engaged forever,” Dewan told host Jennifer Hudson, 42. “We got engaged and then there were so many life things that happened…  All of a sudden there was [COVID-19] and [the] pandemic and home and then baby number three. So we kept pushing this day.”

“But now we really are wanting to and really are setting the date and getting it going,” she added.

Despite the lengthy delay for their nuptials, the actress said she doesn’t regret doing it sooner, as her new baby would now get to be a part of the ceremony.

"I believe the timing is right. I think maybe baby no. 3 had to be here for the whole family [to be] complete,” she said. “It always works out that way. I believe in divine timing.”

Dewan also shared her first picks for officiants for the wedding, which include Oprah Winfrey and RuPaul. She explained that the two of them put together “basically [describe] me in a nutshell,” and if either of them said yes, she would “set a date tomorrow.”

“Both of them I love,” she said. “Are you kidding? I grew up obsessed with Oprah. RuPaul does no wrong. I love [Rupaul’s] Drag Race. Jennifer, if you’re also available?”

“Normally I do the solos. If you need me to render a selection–,” Hudson joked, to which Dewan replied, “Oh my gosh. Can you imagine? The guests would be so happy. We’d be so honored.”

“[I’m] a little bit more tired this time because I’m chasing two others,” she admitted. “You know how that goes. You’re like, ‘Oh rest what’s that? We don't know what that is.’ ”

“Does the oldest help at all?,” Hudson asked Dewan, who shared that Everly “is really good” at her big sister duties. Through, Dewan said that she still likes to make sure her daughter gets time to just “be a kid.”

“She’s a sweetie. She loves her little brother. She’s so good, but I kind of want her to be a kid too. So I let her take the lead with how much responsibility and all that she wants, but she’s amazing,” she explained.
