As if a steal of home isn’t exciting enough already, Javy Baez put his signature touch on the play Wednesday afternoon – which of course, like everything Baez does, made it just that much more fun.
He completed the steal in the fourth inning of the Cubs vs. Tigers game using his signature “swim slide” to elude catcher James McCann’s tag at the plate.

It’s rare that Baez gets to show off the move, but when he does, it’s amazing. He most famously did it playing for Team Puerto Rico in the World Baseball Classic last spring.
Baseball and swim skills don’t tend to go hand-in-hand, but Baez is pulling the combination off seamlessly.
