A day after Rakhi Sawant’s claim that Javed Akhtar wanted to make a biopic on her, the veteran lyricist-writer confirmed that he did tell her that he’d like to write a film on her life. In a recent interview with India TV.com, Rakhi claimed that Javed Akhtar had reached out to her to discuss a film based on her life but she couldn’t meet him.

Now, Javed Akhtar has also confirmed that Rakhi’s claim is true. “No, she is right. I think some four or five years back we were on the same flight and she told me about her childhood and I did tell her that someday I would like to write a script based on her life,” Javed Akhtar told SpotboyE.

Rakhi, who has come back in the spotlight with her recent stint on Bigg Boss 14, claimed that Javed Akhtar was once interested in making a biopic on her and had even called her to fix a meeting with the reality TV personality regarding the same.

“I got a call from Javed Akhtar Ji, before Covid, about a year ago. He said that he wanted to write my biopic and had asked to meet him. But after that day, I did not get to meet him. They want a biopic to be made on me, but my biopic will be very controversial and I do not know whether the people of the country would like to see it or not,” Rakhi said.
