Jason Momoa has broken his silence on his surprise cameo as himself in The Fall Guy.

The Aquaman star pops up at the end of the new movie, a subsequent credits scene revealing he is enlisted for Jody's (Emily Blunt) movie after Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) is blown up by explosives on a movie set while trying to escape from the police.

Posting footage of his turn from the movie on Instagram, Momoa shared his thanks to The Fall Guy producers Kelly McCormick and David Leitch for including him.

"I knew he was doing The Fall Guy movie in Australia with Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt, but I was surprised by his call. He asked if I would appear in the movie and so I had to say yes."

In Digital Spy's three-star review of the movie, we said: "The Fall Guy is a great old-school Hollywood action comedy – extremely enjoyable, full of star power and sometimes too in-your-face for its own good."

The Fall Guy is out now in cinemas.
