Yahoo Movies Jason Derulo and Jena Frumes have split, four months after the birth of their baby
Jason Derulo and girlfriend Jena Frumes have sadly split, just four months after the birth of their baby boy in May.
The pair first went public with their relationship in March 2020, before welcoming their son Jason King Derulo earlier this year.
Confirming the sad news with a statement on Twitter, Jason announced that he and Jena had made the decision to "part ways", adding that the pair thought they would be better apart.
He told followers, "Jena and I have decided to part ways. She is an amazing mother but we feel being apart at this time will allow us to be the best versions of ourselves and the best parents we could be," before adding, "Pls respect our privacy in this time."

The pair welcomed their first child together in May this year, with Jason making the announcement on Instagram alongside a sweet video montage. He wrote, "The happiest day of my life bringing our baby boy (Jason King Derulo) home. He’s so lucky to have such a strong caring hero of a mother @jenafrumes".
The couple's split has been even more of a surprise for fans given the fact that the pair had posted loved-up photos together on holiday in Italy just a week prior to the announcement.
Sharing a series of pictures on 17 September, including one with her arm around Jason, Jena wrote, "Happiest right next to you❤️🇮🇹 @jasonderulo is getting better at taking my photos🤣🙌🏽".
Another post on 11 September saw the couple celebrating their friends' wedding, with Jena adding the caption, "Love is in the air 🕊🇮🇹🤍".
More recently, the pair celebrated their joint birthday on 21 September, with Jena sharing a birthday post for Jason which has now been deleted.
In the now-deleted post, Jena wrote, "Blessed to share the same day of birth with my lover. You are the most handsome, hardworking, talented, silly, loving human ever. You truly make me whole and I'm so grateful for the love we share. You and our mini make me the happiest girl in the world and I can't wait to make more memories with you guys.
"I know I'm a tough cookie but you make me soft and accept me for who I am and I'm forever grateful for that🥺 Cheers to another year! I love you so much, forever ❤️"
We hope Jason and Jena are doing OK.
