Jacob Tremblay Names His Adorable Puppy After Star Wars: The Force Awakens Star

If anyone can be seen as a breakout talent over the past 12 months, it’s ‘Room’ star Jacob Tremblay. The nine-year-old has continued to melt our hearts by naming his new puppy after one of ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ breakthrough stars.

The young actor, who appears alongside Oscar-winner Brie Larson in Lenny Abrahmson’s ‘Room’, is getting a lot of attention on social media with the cute posts he shares (or more specifically his parent-approved ones). Recently, the child star got a puppy, and yes it’s the cutest thing imaginable.

Since his adorable friend joined the family, Jacob’s been introducing his new dog to a host of celebrities, ranging from Demi Lovato, to Joe Jonas, to… Kermit the Frog.

However, he’s since taken to the internet to ask fans what they think he should name his new Poodle. And, after a host of suggestions, he’s only gone and called it Rey Tremblay (after the heroine Daisy Ridley portrays in ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’).

To celebrate the naming of his fury pal, Tremblay shared a photo that the internet could really get behind: one that combined a cute puppy and ‘Star Wars’.

Even next to a towering (well, in terms of LEGO scale, at least) AT-AT, Rey looks like a friendly character indeed. But, as you’re probably thinking, the pup looks more like fan fave Chewbacca than anyone else.
