Isla Fisher Has 'Girls Night' in London After Rebel Wilson's Allegations About Husband Sacha Baron Cohen
Sacha Baron Cohen has vehemently denied the claims made by former costar Rebel Wilson
Isla Fisher enjoyed a night at the theater with friends.
The Strays actress, 48, was joined by Naomi Watts, Michelle Dockery and producer Bruna Papandrea in London as they checked out the play The Hills of California. “Girls night at the theater,” she captioned an Instagram photo Wednesday, April 3.
Fisher’s post comes after her husband Sacha Baron Cohen was the subject of allegations made by former costar Rebel Wilson in her new book, which came out Tuesday.
In her memoir Rebel Rising, Wilson, 44, wrote about her experience working with Baron Cohen, 52, on the 2016 movie The Brothers Grimsby, which also starred Fisher. (Fisher and Wilson also costarred together in 2012's Bachelorette.)
Wilson said she felt humiliated by Baron Cohen and claimed the comedian asked her to perform a lewd act while they were making the movie in South Africa. Baron Cohen vehemently denied the claims.
His rep said in a statement: “While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby.”
Wilson wrote in the book, "I’m not about canceling anybody and that’s not my motivation for sharing this story. I’m sharing my story now because the more women talk about things like this, hopefully the less it happens.”
Fisher and Baron Cohen have been together for over 20 years and married in 2010. They share three kids.
Earlier this year, Fisher, on The Kelly Clarkson Show, talked about her and Baron Cohen's Valentine’s Day tradition.
"I wouldn’t say we’re particularly... I think just having a lot of kids and being busy, we don’t do a lot," she began of the Borat actor. "But every year Sacha does give me a card that’s like, ‘Happy Valentine’s from’ and then there’s a massive question mark.”
"As if anybody else would send me... as if I have any other Valentines. I’m a mother of three. I mean, I’m always like, ‘Ooooh. So many men,' " Fisher joked.
