Is Spider-Man In Thor: Ragnarok? Jon Watts, Taika Waititi Take To Twitter To Discuss

God bless Twitter. Because only in this day and age are we able to see two Marvel directors joking with each other about their upcoming projects in such a public fashion.

Step forward Jon Watts and Taika Waititi, the directors of ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ and ‘Thor: Ragnarok’, respectively.

On Tuesday the pair took to Twitter to discuss the possible participation of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in ‘Thor: Ragnarok’, and it quickly turned both hilarious and very, very dark.

It all started off innocently enough, though, as Jon Watts simply asked his fellow Marvel filmmaker:

But while Taika Waititi admitted that he would need to borrow Tom Holland for one or two ‘Ragnarok’ scenes, he also teased that he wouldn’t be returned to Jon Watts in the best condition:

The joke spiralled even further out of control when Jon Watts made a delightful reference to David Fincher’s 1995 classic ‘Se7en’:

Those of you that don’t get it need to go and watch ‘Se7en’ again immediately, while those of you that do will already be standing and applauding the pair.

Of course, ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ is already pretty full. Not only does it include the returning Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Loki (Tom Hiddleston), Heimdall (Idris Elba), and Odin (Anthony Hopkins) but Hela (Cate Blanchett), Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum), Skurge (Karl Urban), and, most excitingly of all, the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) will be joining them this time around, too.

Both Tom Holland and Jon Watts are currently hard at work filming ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ in Atlanta at the same time that ‘Thor: Raganorak’ is shooting in Australia.

‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’s’ cast is just as impressive as its Marvel brethren, too, as Tom Holland will be joined by Michael Keaton, Robert Downey Jnr., Maris Tomei, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Bokeem Woodbine, and Tye Daly.

We’ll get to see what they both films can muster up in 2017, as ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ will be released on July 7, while ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ will follow on November 3.

Keep your eyes glued to Jon Watts and Taika Waititi’s Twitter accounts before then, though, as the pair have been rather good at keeping fans updated with both productions.
