IPL 2021, Chennai Super Kings: All you need to know about squad and full schedule

·2 min read

Chennai Super Kings (CSK), who failed to make the cut to the playoffs for the first time in IPL 2020 began their 2021 campaign with confidence.

They have won five games out of the seven they played in the first half of the season. This good run has taken them to the second spot in the IPL 2021 points table. However, compalacency must not creep in if CSK want to go far in this season.

They have plenty of things to worry about - Rayudu, Dhoni and Raina have not played any cricket since first phase. Add to that, Faf du Plessis may or may not turn with injury issues. CSK will hope their foreign recruits like Sam Curran and Moeen Ali live up to the task and take the team to another IPL title.

Deepak Chahar, ignored by natonal selectors for T20 World Cup, will be itching to make a statement or two with both bat and ball.
