The Independent Director of Porch Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:PRCH), Sean Kell, Just Bought 97% More Shares

Whilst it may not be a huge deal, we thought it was good to see that the Porch Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:PRCH) Independent Director, Sean Kell, recently bought US$50k worth of stock, for US$3.13 per share. While that isn't the hugest buy, it actually boosted their shareholding by 97%, which is good to see.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Porch Group

Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider purchase was by Founder Matthew Ehrlichman for US$1.0m worth of shares, at about US$7.59 per share. That means that even when the share price was higher than US$2.76 (the recent price), an insider wanted to purchase shares. Their view may have changed since then, but at least it shows they felt optimistic at the time. To us, it's very important to consider the price insiders pay for shares. As a general rule, we feel more positive about a stock if insiders have bought shares at above current prices, because that suggests they viewed the stock as good value, even at a higher price.
