I'm a Beauty Editor and This Is My Go-To Serum for Glowing Skin This Fall

I'm a Beauty Editor and This Is My Go-To Serum for Glowing Skin This Fall

With my skincare routine (and life in general) I've found most things that are labeled as hybrids to be overrated.

Why have a cronut when you can have a croissant that's meatier and fluffier? But I digress. Skincare brands have been leaning more and more into the concept of fusion in recent years, and while some products are gimmicky, there are a few that actually streamline my routine and live up to their promises.

One such product is Goldfaden M.D.'s Radiance Repair Serum, which protects against free radical and photoaging damage while simultaneously brightening and hydrating skin, as well as strengthening the skin barrier.

But it's not just the dual function of this serum that makes it a hybrid product. The formula looks like a rich, creamy serum when it comes out of the tube, but turns into an oil as it's applied to the skin. It's all thanks to a plethora of firming, nourishing oils, including sunflower seed, meadowfoam seed, and baobab oils, plus stem cell extracts.

If you're not a fan of face oils like me because they never fully absorb, this serum gives you the instant glow of an oil, without feeling like your face is a slick glazed doughnut. It's effortlessly found a place in my morning routine because it offers antioxidant protection and a boost of hydration (thanks to hyaluronic acid and niacinamide), which is key as the official start of winter inches closer, the air gets drier, and my skin gets duller. Not to mention, sunscreen and makeup can be layered over it without any pilling.

On top of using Radiance Repair as a traditional serum in my morning routine, it also works wonderful in lieu of an oil when I'm using a facial roller or my hands for a mini facial massage.

It might get dark by 6 p.m. in New York until next year, but you can't tell winter is coming by looking at my skin.
