Iain Lee (kind of) takes back saying he wasn't bullied

Iain Lee surprised I'm a Celebrity fans this week when he insisted he was never bullied in the jungle – but now he may be going back on his word after watching more footage of the series.

Hundreds of viewers complained to broadcasting regulator Ofcom about his treatment during the show, but Becky Vardy, Dennis Wise, Amir Khan and Jamie Lomas all denied ever isolating the radio DJ.

Initially, Iain himself said during Friday's I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Coming Out special: "There was no bullying going on. Let's quash this rumour once and for all. Bullying is a very serious thing. It's a huge word. There was no bullying whatsoever."

He also tried to quash the controversy when he was photographed hanging out with his alleged bullies ahead of the show's wrap party earlier in the week.

However, judging by his tweets on Friday night, it seems Iain has had a possible change of thinking.

When Dennis Wise tweeted his support of Iain's comments that "there was no bullying whatsoever", Iain replied to the ex-footballer by saying: "I hadn't seen the comments made behind my back or the ones made by some camp mates when they left. I still suggest the word bullying is too strong. But."

Iain added in a follow-up post: "And now I feel very nervous about the potential reaction to that previous tweet. All I know is strawberries to 1 side, I did not lie or bad mouth anyone anytime in the camp. I was rude about Stanley once but confessed immediately. I was honest and me."

And when Rebekah Vardy said a "big thank you to Iain for clearing up" the scandal, Iain again replied: "I hadn't seen the comments made behind my back or the ones made by some camp mates when they left. I still suggest the word bullying is too strong. But."

So, although Iain feels "bullying" is still too strong a word for his treatment in the jungle, it seems he's not entirely happy with being spoken about behind his back.

I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! will likely return next year on ITV, when this whole controversy should be over.
