Hundreds Rally Behind Mission B.C. Teen With Anti-Bully Parade

A B.C. community showed up in full force in support of a non-binary teen attacked on camera. Video posted on social media mid-January shows 2 girls outside École Heritage Park Middle School assaulting the teen while sitting on the ground while onlookers cheer on the attack.

The video didn’t sit well with Mission, B.C. residents who threw an anti-bully parade Sunday. Over a thousand people showed up in their cars at the Mission Raceway Park, according to the Canadian Press with a few also showing up on horseback as supporters travelled along the waterfront in a stand against bullying and to support the victim.

The teen’s mother says the gesture didn’t go unnoticed by her child, who said, “I feel the support … and I’m feeling pretty confident,” according to 680 News.

Meanwhile, the RCMP have arrested 2 girls in connection to the video and are looking into criminal charges.
