Huge Delays Reported at Entrance to Eurotunnel in Southeast England

Drivers encountered delays of six hours or more as they waited to board Eurotunnel trains in Folkestone, England, on Saturday, October 23.

Many took to social media to complain about the lengthy delays, which Eurotunnel Shuttle said were due to “tunnel maintenance works on the overhead power supply.”

This video, shared by @Giles_Mason on Saturday afternoon, shows long lines of cars parked outside the Eurotunnel facility in Folkestone. “Complete chaos at @LeShuttle at the moment,” he wrote, later telling Storyful that he boarded a train nearly seven hours after his original booking.
