Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 5 matchup

Trevor Lawrence's Jacksonville Jaguars look to get back on the winning train when they return home to host Davis Mills and the Houston Texans in an AFC South matchup.

Lawrence, coming off a five-turnover performance in Week 4, faces off against the NFL's lone winless team in the Texans in a game with divisional ramifications. Can the Jaguars bounce back at home, or will the Texans find some magic with Mills and Dameon Pierce to pick up victory No. 1? The game will kick off Sunday at 1 p.m. from TIAA Bank Stadium.

Here's a look at the betting details and USA TODAY's NFL staff picks for the Texans vs. Jaguars Week 5 game:

Lorenzo Reyes: Jaguars 25, Texans 23

It will be interesting to see how Doug Pederson and the Jags bounce back from Trevor Lawrence’s five-turnover game. They should course correct and I like Jacksonville on the money line. But Houston has been an undervalued play, covering three of its four games. The Texans aren’t the easy-out most people think they are.

Safid Deen: Jaguars 28, Texans 14

Jaguars took a tough loss to the undefeated Eagles, but they’ll get back on track at home against Houston. I’m excited to see Jacksonville’s ceiling this season, while the Texans haven’t gotten up off the floor.

Lance Pugmire: Jaguars 28, Texans 17

A lost lead and lost footballs squandered Jacksonville’s bid to upset the Eagles, but they are vastly improved and they’ll leave the Texans knowing the difference a franchise quarterback makes.

Jarrett Bell: Jaguars 24, Texans 17

Nate Davis: Jaguars 27, Texans 20
