Is this house for sale in Texas an optical illusion? Because….what is happening?
A house for sale in the Lone Star state is drawing attention thanks to its strange — yet original — design.

The four-bedroom, six-bathroom estate, which is listed for $2.25 million in Houston, Texas, almost seems more like a work of art than a house. Staring at it from the front presents an optical illusion, thanks to a desperately high front door and apparent narrowness.
“Remarkably refined River Oaks ... residence offering a distinctive Lucian Hood design showcasing stylish interiors well-suited for artistic display enhanced by impeccable scale, substantial ceiling heights, and serene views of the sublime setting,” the listing on Zillow.com says of the 5,436-square-foot residence.
According to the listing, features include:
Three-car attached garage
The home was featured on Sunday Night Zillow, a Twitter segment run by Bloomberg reporter Steven Dennis that showecases unique houses on the real estate market.
“Interesting entrance on a Houston mansion…?” Dennis said.
“Oh, goodie. I’ve always been interested in this house. It’s on one of my walking routes,” another noted.
“You enter the door and go to the right? Hmmm???” someone asked.
“I like this better than 90% of the mansions,” one person said.
“Previous owner was 30’ tall,” another tweeted.
