Home and Away's Christian and Lewis clash after a patient at the hospital dies

Home and Away surgeon Christian Green is left furious next week as newcomer Lewis Hayes accuses him of dangerous and unprofessional behaviour.

Christian (Ditch Davey) clashes with Lewis at work as he prepares to operate on a patient.

In next week's episodes on Channel 5, Christian and his fiancée Tori Morgan (Penny McNamee) celebrate their engagement with a party at Salt, which has been organised by Justin and Leah.

Christian has to leave the happy occasion unexpectedly when he gets called into work. However, when Christian decides that surgery is needed to save a particular patient, Lewis (Luke Arnold) steps in and strongly objects.

Lewis was a guest at the party and points out that Christian was drinking at the gathering, so shouldn't be operating on anyone.

Christian protests that he only had one sip of champagne and this would make no difference to his capability, but Lewis refuses to back down.

In the end, Tori is called in to resolve the dispute. Despite her personal connection to Christian, she sides with Lewis and insists that her partner shouldn't be operating on a patient after consuming alcohol.

Christian is livid when Tori orders another neurosurgeon to take on the job. He feels even worse when the patient dies overnight, convinced that he could have prevented this if he'd carried out the surgery himself.

Christian and Lewis argue further after the patient's death, leaving Tori worried that they may not be able to work together.

Lewis's friend Jasmine Delaney steps in to privately tip off Tori about how he blames Christian for the death of his partner Anna.

Realising the seriousness of the situation, Tori urges Lewis to come to her in the future if he has concerns about a staff member, rather than trying to deal with situations himself.

Lewis agrees, but will this really be the last time he takes on Christian?

Home and Away airs these scenes on Tuesday, March 16 at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5.
