Hollyoaks teases Felix Westwood exit

Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks has teased Felix Westwood leaving the village after being rejected by longtime love Martine Deveraux.

In Wednesday's (August 4) first-look episode, Felix confronted Martine over why she'd choose her friendship with Grace over their love for one another.

"Grace is my friend, she's been there for me throughout my whole cancer ordeal and I have betrayed her in the worst possible way," she admitted.

Martine admitted that while she couldn't choose who she loved, she could choose what she'd do about it by trying to start over with Grace.

Grace was watching all along, and after Martine had left, she roasted Felix in front of Walter and Celeste.

Felix admitted that Martine's loyalty to Grace "trumps" any romantic feelings she may have for him, though Grace didn't seem entirely satisfied with the turn of events.

The two women had a frank conversation later, where Grace admitted to Martine that she should "go for it" with Felix because they had something "rare".

However, Martine turned up for a meeting with Felix to find a letter from him instead. At the same time, viewers saw Felix packing a bag and leaving the village, while Walter looked on.

"This morning, you admitted you can't help who you love, but you also said you can help what you do about it," he recalled in the note. "That got me thinking, I do love you so much. But, I have loved you before and we both know how that turned out.

"When I'm not in the picture, you have a good life. Despite what I try and do, I drag you down. Always have, always will. Pressuring you to be with me isn't fair, and it isn't right because I'm not the man you deserve. I'm not a good man."
