Hollyoaks star Jon-Paul Bell teases Beau's new romance

Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks star Jon-Paul Bell has teased a new romance between his character Beau Ramsey and Maxine Minniver. A spring preview trailer for Hollyoaks released on Monday (March 20) hinted at a possible romance between the pair.

In upcoming scenes, Beau will grow closer to Maxine after the pair babysit Eva. According to Bell, Beau and Maxine could end up spending even more time together.

"The strength Maxine showed throughout everything with Eric really caught Beau's attention," Bell told Inside Soap.

Speaking of Beau's possible new love interest, the soap star said: "Potentially there could be something between them – he definitely has his eye on her."

In recent episodes, Beau's stepmother Diane, who is married to his on-screen dad Tony Hutchinson, had a "saucy dream" about her stepson which Bell said was flattering. While the dream hinted at a possible love affair between Diane and Beau, Bell said that he hopes his character won't be involved in anything like that.

"I was flattered," said Bell. "That was hilarious. There's been a few dirty affairs for both Tony and Diane, but I hope I'm not going to get involved, especially while Beau is trying to make peace with his father. I don't think that would go down too well."

Discussing his relationship with Tony and Diane actors Nick Pickard and Alex Fletcher, Bell said: "Nick is so full of life and energy, a great person to be around but seriously professional. The same with Alex, we've all been really close since I started.

"And Jimmy McKenna, I love hearing his stories and having him serenade me with Frank Sinatra songs," he added of the Jack Osborne star Jimmy. "Being on the show has been a dream come true so far – and I can't wait for it to continue."

Hollyoaks streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.

Selected omnibus episodes are available via Prime Video.
