Hollyoaks' Jorgie Porter shares sex of her baby

Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter has announced she is expecting a baby boy with her fiancé Oliver Piotrowski.

The actress, who plays Theresa McQueen on the Channel 4 soap, confirmed the news in an interview with Hello!, saying the couple were “thrilled”.

In the interview, the actress said: “Ollie and I didn't mind either way [which sex the baby was], of course. All we wanted was a baby.

“He's certainly very active, and I can feel him doing somersaults and backflips. It's incredible to think [about] what we've created."

Porter also spoke of receiving the scan results, expressing the couple’s joy and relief. “We'd been through so much to reach this point and had learnt to take nothing for granted,” she said. “Just to have a healthy baby was a dream come true.”

The couple have suffered devastating news in the past, with Porter revealing in November that she had a miscarriage which resulted in the loss of quadruplets.

The actress understandably said it proved to be a difficult time for the couple, previously crediting Piotrowski for “voicing his feelings” during the process.

She says they have now learnt to “appreciate every moment”, which has led to their relationship being “stronger than ever.” The baby boy is due in December, with Porter adding that they “can’t wait to share [our] love with our little one”.

Porter has previously spoken about the couple’s wedding plans following their engagement in January, promising a “big show” for their special day.

“I do have some ideas of style in mind – five dress changes at least,” she said. “My dream has always been to come down on string on a hoop with wings, like a show.”

Hollyoaks streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.

Selected omnibus episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video.
