Yahoo Movies Hollyoaks confirms surprise pregnancy for Diane Hutchinson

Hollyoaks has lined up more trouble ahead for Diane and Tony Hutchinson, after tonight's E4 first-look episode revealed that Diane was pregnant – and either Tony or his father Edward could be the father.
Viewers will know that Edward (Joe McGann) had an affair with Diane (Alex Fletcher) as he spent months scheming against his son Tony (Nick Pickard), but following Edward's shock Christmas Day death-by-mince pie, it looked like Diane and Tony would be able to reunite once again.
Unfortunately, their love story took another hit tonight (January 18), as Tony demanded answers from Diane after he caught her lying to him about her whereabouts the night before.

Later, Edward proved that he could continue to stir up trouble even from beyond the grave, as his will reading confirmed that he'd left his entire estate to Diane, causing even more tension between Diane and Tony.
"Did you know?" Tony demanded. "So you weren't stringing me along while you waited for your big fat inheritance and I'm trying to forget him?"
"Of course not," Diane replied. "I told you, I don't want any of it. Come on Tony you've got to believe me."
"How can I when I know you lied to me?" he shot back.
The couple later talked everything out, and Diane admitted that she's scared she'll never be able to escape Edward, prompting Tony to issue Diane a promise.
"That's the last time dad gets to mess with us, ever," he told her.
Later, however, a heartbroken Verity (Eva O'Hara) arrived home to find an upset Diane in the bathroom, clutching a pregnancy test.
As Diane confirmed that the test was positive – confirming viewers' theories in the process – she had one more bombshell to announce, telling Verity that she doesn't know who the dad is.
"Are you pregnant?" Verity questioned. "Is Tony going to be a dad again?"
"He could be," Diane replied. "Or he could be a brother. I don't know who the dad is... Tony or Edward."
Following her affair with Edward and her attempts to get her marriage with Tony back on track, either man could be the father of her baby. What will this mean for the future of Diane and Tony's relationship?
Hollyoaks is back to airing five new episodes per week, with episodes airing at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and first-look episodes airing at 7pm on E4.
