Hollyoaks airs arrest for Mercedes McQueen

Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks has aired a shock arrest for Mercedes McQueen.

The McQueens continue to feud with Wendy Blissett over custody of Bobby, unaware that she plans to leave the country with Bobby as soon as she has enough cash.

In Tuesday's (May 17) first-look episode, Mercedes was being taunted by Wendy — who threatened Mercy to pay up if she ever wants Bobby back in her life again.

Wendy was watching from nearby as Donna-Marie revealed she'd hooked up Mercy with one of her contacts, even though their plan was "desperate".

The duo were planning for Mercy to seduce a man, and then Donna-Marie would take an incriminating photo they could use to blackmail him for the necessary cash.

"He either gives us five grand, or his wife finds out he uses escorts," Donna-Marie insisted.

As they went through with the plan, Mercedes took little notice of the man dropping a packet of drugs on her table because Wendy interrupted them.

"Well, well, well, you have really done it this time, Mercedes," Wendy taunted.

Wendy accused Mercy of being "an immoral, obscene tramp", then stormed off telling her she didn't deserve to be a mother. As Donna-Marie went after Wendy to ask for "one last chance", Mercy was left behind with the packet of drugs.

Later, Bobby arrived to find Mercedes seemingly strung out and hit out at her for always "making the wrong choices". Mercedes angrily accused Bobby of being the cause of her problems.

Wendy eventually turned up to find Mercedes passed out on the sofa while Bobby was seemingly locked in his room. Wendy called the police, so Saul arrived on the scene to issue a police protection order to remove Bobby from the McQueen house.

"You taking my son away?" Mercedes asked, with Wendy chiming in: "You heard him, Mercedes. It's for [Bobby's] own protection."

But is all as it seems with Bobby being locked in his room?
