Hollyoaks to air aftermath of Jade twist as Cher seeks answers

Hollyoaks fans will see Cher McQueen seek an explanation from Bobby Costello tonight (September 23) following the surprising revelation of Jade's true identity.

Cher (Bethannie Hare) has spent the past few months confiding in her online friend 'Jade' and seeking the mystery individual's advice.

Last night, Cher realised that she had actually been exchanging messages with her 9-year-old stepbrother as she tried to call 'Jade' and Bobby's phone rang.

In Thursday's E4 first look episode, the McQueens are still in shock after realising that 'Jade' was so close to home.

Cher takes a kind approach to Bobby (Jayden Fox), who has stubbornly refused to explain his behaviour.

He ultimately reveals that he was trying to protect his mum Mercedes from Cher's wrath, after discovering that Cher had cruelly framed Mercedes for stealing baby Eva Hutchinson.

Bobby recalls: "I heard you talking to Peri about how much you hated my mum.

"So, I thought if you had a friend, you'd be happier. So you'd stop trying to break up my mum and Sylver."

Cher replies: "I'm so sorry you heard that. It wasn't me, I didn't know what I was doing.

"I was confused, I blamed Mercedes for everything that was going wrong in my life. But it wasn't her, she had done nothing wrong."

Meanwhile, Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) decides that Bobby needs her one-on-one support, so she'll be flying out to Alicante with him as soon as possible.

Mercedes rejects her husband Sylver (David Tag), despite their recent reunion, by insisting that she doesn't want him to come along.

Cher is concerned when Bobby explains what's going on. Will the McQueens be able to pick up the pieces?

Hollyoaks airs these scenes tonight (September 23) at 7pm on E4 and tomorrow (September 24) at 6.30pm on Channel 4. Selected omnibus episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video.
