Whilst the supplement is designed for older people aged 40 and above, it works for younger people too. As claimed by the makers of the supplement, Lean Belly 3X is 100% naturally formulated. Thus, it functions naturally to reverse the effects and tackle the root cause of belly fat. Furthermore, thanks to this natural formulation, the supplement contains zero toxic ingredients – making it very safe. How Does Beyond 40 Lean Belly 3X work? Belly fat is caused by a deadly type of fat - the acute visceral adipose tissue (AVAT). The stubborn fat settles around the abdominal and belly regions in general. The storage of this dangerous fat is caused by the body’s inability to effectively metabolize and burn fat – especially with age- which causes the release of the fat-storing enzymes responsible for the storage of AVAT. A person – man or woman ages 40 and above – who has gained over 10 pounds over time qualifies to be suffering from increase fat storage in the body. The worst thing about this problem is that even regular measures like strict exercise routines or even calorie depriving diets including keto and paleo are not at all effective at addressing the problem. The key is to learn how to turn off the fat-storing enzyme to help tackled age-related fat storage. This is where the Beyond 40 Lean Belly 3X dietary supplement jumps in. Before the age of 40, fat-storing enzymes are quite low in the body – that’s why it’s easy to burn fat at 20 than it is at 50. The Beyond 40 Lean Belly 3X formula is designed to turn on the fat-burning switch and kickstarts a more effective burning of the stored fat. Low-Fat Diet Not a Cure-All Reference: https://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsource/2006/02/09/low-fat-diet-not-a-cure-all-womens-health-initiative/ The energy yielded is then used to power the body throughout the day – eliminating hunger cravings to further aid in belly fat and weight loss. The supplements specifically block the enzyme lipoprotein lipase which is responsible for AVAT’s storage. According to a study conducted by Harvard University, amongst the two common root causes of belly fat and the storage of AVAT in people aged 40 and above include insulin resistance. Furthermore, the study claims that diets like low fat and high grain diet - prescribed to people who suffer from health conditions may further aggravate the problem – with high blood sugar levels, poor insulin sensitivity, and of course, the accumulation of AVAT. The second root cause is the consumption of inadequate amounts of super fats that can aid in accelerating the fat burning process. SAN JOSE, Calif. — Evander Kane scored 41 seconds into overtime and the San Jose Sharks ended a disappointing homestand on a high note by beating the St. Louis Blues 3-2 Monday night. The Sharks had lost five of their first six games on their longest homestand of the season before rallying to beat the Blues by getting a tying goal in the third period from Logan Couture and the winner from Kane off a feed from Erik Karlsson on a 2-on-1 rush. Marc-Edouard Vlasic also scored for San Jose, and Devan Dubnyk made 24 saves after getting starts in back-to-back games for the first time this season. The Blues won the first four games of their road trip before stumbling a bit at the end with overtime losses in Los Angeles and San Jose. Niko Mikkola got his first career goal and Brayden Schenn also scored for St. Louis. Ville Husso made 17 saves. The Blues controlled play in the second period, earning three power plays and outshooting San Jose 16-5. But the Sharks had the only goal on Vlasic’s first of the season on a rush before St. Louis finally capitalized late on its third attempt of the period with the man advantage. Ryan O’Reilly sent a cross-ice pass to David Perron, whose one-timer deflected off Schenn’s stick and fluttered past Dubnyk with 54 seconds left in the period to make it 2-1. It marked the fifth straight game that St. Louis scored a power-play goal. The Sharks tied it midway through the third on the power play when a rebound of Ryan Donato’s shot hit off Couture’s skate and went into the net. DROP THE GLOVES San Jose’s Kurtis Gabriel and St. Louis’ Kyle Clifford got into a fight on their first shift of the game. The two enforcers spent part of the pregame skate jawing at centre ice and it carried over into a spirited fight early in the game. It was the second fight in three games for Gabriel, who squared off with Vegas’ Ryan Reaves on Friday night. The Blues and Sharks had some bad blood from their past meeting when St. Louis goalie Jordan Binnington nearly got into three tussles with Sharks players on his way off the ice after getting pulled in the second period. QUICK STRIKE Mikkola scored his first career goal on a point shot less than two minutes after the fight to give the Blues the lead on their second shot of the game. St. Louis had scored on its first shot in the previous two games. The Sharks have been on the other side of that, having not scored in their past five first periods. UP NEXT Blues: Host the Vegas Golden Knights on Friday night. Sharks: Visit the Anaheim Ducks on Friday night. ___ More AP NHL coverage: https://apnews.com/hub/NHL and https://twitter.com/AP_Sports Josh Dubow, The Associated Press
EDMONTON — Kailer Yamamoto scored the first of three straight goals by Edmonton, and the Oilers held on to beat the Ottawa Senators 3-2 on Monday. Alex Chiasson and Leon Draisaitl also scored for the Oilers, who improved to 5-0 against the Senators this season. Connor McDavid had two assists. Evgenii Dadonov and Tim Stutzle scored for Ottawa (9-18-1). Thomas Chabot assisted on both goals. The game was the first of three meetings this week between the two teams, and part of a tough stretch for the Senators, who play seven games in 11 days. The Oilers (16-11-0), who started the night a point behind Winnipeg, jumped the Jets into second place in the North Division with the victory. Despite playing a night earlier in Calgary -- a 4-3 Ottawa win -- the Senators got off to a hot start. Dadonov got them on the scoreboard just 56 seconds in when he spun and fired past Mikko Koskinen. It's the second time this season the Senators scored in the opening minute. Yamamoto tied it up with a perfect redirect of a long shot by Darnell Nurse at 7:03 of the first period. The Oilers took their first lead at 6:03 of the second on a power play when Chiasson beat Joey Daccord on a 2-on-1 for his fifth goal of the season. The Oilers caught the Senators on a shift change to pad their lead at 14:41 of the second, when Draisaitl fired a quick snap shot inside the right goalpost for his first goal in eight games, and 11th of the season. Stutzle breathed some life into the Senators with a shot over the shoulder of Koskinen at 17:57 of the second period, and Edmonton went into the second intermission with a one-goal lead. Daccord made a few excellent saves in the final minutes to keep the Senators in the game, but they couldn't get the tying goal, and fell to 0-6 this season in the second game of back-to-backs. The Sens and Oilers meet again Wednesday and Friday in Edmonton. This report by The Canadian Press was first published March 8, 2021. The Canadian Press
CALGARY — Manitoba's Jason Gunnlaugson moved into sole possession of first place in Pool A at the Canadian men's curling championship on Monday after an 8-5 victory over Wild Card One's Mike McEwen. Gunnlaugson was the only unbeaten skip in the nine-team pool at 3-0. "It's a good start but it's a long, long week," Gunnlaugson said. Kevin Koe's first-place Wild Card Two (5-0) had the lone perfect record in Pool B after an 11-3 rout of Nunavut's Peter Mackey (0-4) in the evening. Alberta's Brendan Bottcher defeated Wild Card Three's Wayne Middaugh 5-3 to hand the veteran skip his first loss of the preliminary round. Bottcher, who has reached the Tim Hortons Brier final in each of the last three years, earned a critical steal in the eighth end when Middaugh was light on his draw. "It's early in the week but these wins count as much as the ones on Thursday, Friday and Saturday," Bottcher said. "You need to win them while you can. "We played a really good game there and it was nice to cap it off and pull out the W." In other afternoon games, British Columbia's Steve Laycock dumped Yukon's Dustin Mikkelsen 9-2 and New Brunswick's James Grattan edged Northern Ontario's Brad Jacobs 7-6 in an extra end. Gunnlaugson, who was 5-6 in his Brier main draw debut last year, has already knocked off two expected contenders in McEwen and Bottcher. "It's hard to put into words how valuable it is to have a guy like Jay on your team," Manitoba lead Connor Njegovan. "Everything is so planned out and when he's hitting well, it's very hard to stop us." New Brunswick and Alberta were tied in second place at 3-1. Wild Card One and Northern Ontario were 2-2 while B.C. improved to 1-2. Middaugh is filling in at skip on Wild Card Three (2-1) for Glenn Howard, who injured his ribs in a recent snowmobile crash. Howard is serving as the team fifth this week. The Northwest Territories (0-3) and Yukon (0-4) remained winless. Saskatchewan's Matt Dunstone made a draw for a piece of the button in a 6-5 win over Canada's Brad Gushue (2-2). Saskatchewan moved into a second-place tie at 3-1 with idle Ontario skip John Epping. Nova Scotia's Scott McDonald posted a 9-6 win over Quebec's Michael Fournier that left both teams with 3-2 records. Greg Smith of Newfoundland and Labrador (1-4) earned his first victory with an 11-7 win over P.E.I.'s Eddie MacKenzie (0-4). The preliminary round continues through Thursday night at the Markin MacPhail Centre on the grounds of Canada Olympic Park. The top four teams in each pool will advance to the two-day championship round. The final is set for Sunday night. The winner will represent Canada at the world men's curling championship next month at the same venue. This report by The Canadian Press was first published March 8, 2021. The Canadian Press
The trial of a former Minneapolis police officer charged in George Floyd's death is forging ahead with jury selection, even though a looming appellate ruling could halt the case and delay it for weeks or even months as the state tries to add a third-degree murder count. Prosecutors are asking the Court of Appeals to put Derek Chauvin's trial on hold until the issue of adding the third-degree murder count is resolved. The appeals court did not immediately rule on that request, and Judge Peter Cahill said Monday that he intends to keep the trial on track until he's told to stop.

The York Region District School Board has unveiled what it calls its "dismantling anti-Black racism strategy," a plan board officials say will take five years to implement. "The strategy was developed in response to continued evidence of anti-Black racism in schools," the board said in a news release Monday night. "The systemic nature of anti-Black racism requires that school boards act proactively to support greater access to education and opportunities for all students and to challenge the marginalization of Black students, staff and families," the statement reads. Board officials say the strategy is meant to achieve "safe, equitable and inclusive learning environments where all students, including Black students can achieve to their full potential." But parents say that timeline is too long and they fear that the strategy, or action plan, will be used as a shield to block progress. They say they are also concerned that the strategy does nothing new to address racist actions that have led to lawsuits the board is contesting around discrimination. "The five-year plan is problematic for me," Charline Grant, a mother of three children and a member of the community group Parents of Black Children, said on Monday. If parents raise concerns, Grant said, the board could simply say that it has a strategy and delay addressing those concerns. Grant said the strategy, unveiled at a virtual event that attracted about 1,300 registrants, is well written and the community provided much feedback. But she said it lacks accountability, a sincere apology with a commitment to make amends, acknowledgement of the trauma caused by board employees, and strong wording to hold perpetrators accountable. It doesn't deal with the current cases, situations and climate, she said, adding the strategy came about because mothers fought for their children. Grant experienced anti-Black racism herself when a York Region School Board trustee was overheard calling her the n-word. The trustee, Nancy Elgie, resigned after months of public pressure. In 2017, following a human rights complaint, Grant received an apology from the board, which also agreed to establish a human rights office to collect equity-related data and conduct mandatory anti-racism training, among other commitments. "The board doesn't do anything just because they want to. It's part of institutional and systemic racism. It's not the board waking up one morning and saying: 'You know what? We need to do this because it's the right thing to do.' It's because of tireless work from women like myself." Charline Grant, a mother of three children and a member of the community group Parents of Black Children, says: "'The board doesn't do anything just because they want to. It's part of institutional and systemic racism. It's not the board waking up one morning and saying: 'You know what? We need to do this because it's the right thing to do.'"(CBC) At the event, board chair Cynthia Cordova said the strategy is based on the board's policy of equity and inclusivity and will act as a guide for the board as it works to address anti-Black racism in its schools. 'Goal of the strategy is to achieve racial equity,' chair says "We know that anti-Black racism exists and is affecting our learning and working environments. Black students and staff do not feel their learning and working environments are as equitable or inclusive as they should be," Cordova said in a taped address. "The main goal of the strategy is to achieve racial equity in our schools for Black students and staff," she said. "It will be used to inform our future decision-making, address past inequities and systemic bias, raise awareness of issues and challenges, improve York Region District School Board services and increase opportunities for dialogue and engagement among staff, students, families and community," she added. "Our dismantling anti-Black racism strategy is a living document. This means that we will review, update and adjust as needed to respond to the latest data and feedback ... Achieving our goal will take time. The full implementation of our strategy is anticipated to take place over a five-year timeframe." Louise Sirisko, the board's education director, says: 'The launch of the strategy marks a coordinated effort to address anti-Black racism at the Board.'(YRDSB) According to the board's news release, the timeframe is 2020 to 2025. Strategy has 7 priority areas The strategy has seven priority areas that come with actions, 11 foundational principles and is contained online in a graphic and two documents. The seven priority areas are: Commitment to bold leadership. Increase the racial literacy of all staff. Creating affirming leadership and working environments. Improving academic outcomes and well-being for black students. Creating a culturally relevant and Black-affirming curriculum. Improving the ways in which Black parents and communities are able to engage with schools and the school board. Hiring and supporting Black staff. Louise Sirisko, the board's education director, said at the event that the board's senior leadership team met with Black community leaders nearly two years ago and formed an anti-Black racism steering committee made up of community leaders, students and parents. After that, board staff continued to meet monthly with the steering committee and learned about the "hurt and harm" of systemic racism. She apologized for the anti-Black racist incidents in YRDSB's schools. "During these meetings, members of the Anti-Black Racism Steering Committee shared experiences of anti-Black racism in our schools and workplaces against students, staff and families," she wrote in a letter as part of the strategy. "Through these conversations, they also shared their wisdom and underscored the need for YRDSB to address incidents of anti-Black racism head on." 'A strategy runs the risk of being only words' The strategy arose out of those meetings. But Sirisko added in the letter: "A strategy runs the risk of being only words on paper." She said, however, that the board is committed to acting on the strategy. Robyn Maynard, author of Policing Black Lives: State Violence in Canada from Slavery to the Present, says: 'Black childhood has never been protected in Canada.'(Stacy Lee Photography) Robyn Maynard, author of Policing Black Lives: State Violence in Canada from Slavery to the Present, reminded the board in a keynote speech at the event that the strategy is not "something to hide behind." Schools are places where Black children experience "degradation, harm and psychological violence" and a site of policing and surveillance, Maynard said. Black children and youth have been streamed in schools, mistreated by teachers, "bullied without intervention," and disciplined and expelled at higher rates than white children, she said. "Black childhood has never been protected in Canada," she said. Shernett Martin, executive director of ANCHOR, African Canadian National Coalition Against Hate, Oppression and Racism, said the group was consulted for months on the strategy, which she said is a start, but the group was let down by the outcome. "It feels like it's just a blanket way to check off a box and say that this is done, without really the meat and the work really following through," Martin said.
