Holby City spoilers follow.

Holby City has apologised for misrepresenting the treatment of diabetes in its most recent episode.

Last week, prior to Kian Madani's tragic collapse, F1 doctor Jeong-Soo Han was seen treating a patient with suspected diabetes. Jeong told the patient she was "hyperglycaemic" and needed glucose.

Fans immediately shared their concerns on social media, pointing out that a glucagon injection is actually the recommended treatment for someone suffering a 'hypo', where blood sugar levels are too low, rather than too high.

Addressing the error, Holby has now apologised for its mistake. In a statement, the BBC One soap reassured viewers it would "correct the error" before the episode is repeated.

"Thank you to everyone who got in touch about our error on last week's #HolbyCity where a patient was administered the wrong medicine for diabetes," a statement read.

"We are actively taking measures to correct the error before any further broadcast of the episode."

Meanwhile, in today's episode of Holby City, Jeong struggles with feeling responsible for Kian's overdose, after leaving him alone in the drugs cupboard.

Overwhelmed with guilt, Jeong initially confides in Josh Hudson – who promises that he isn't responsible for what happened. Unable to shake off the burden, Jeong eventually reveals all to general surgeon Dom Copeland, but can he truly trust his boss?

Holby City continues today (Tuesday, June 22) at the earlier time of 7.20pm on BBC One.
