Hilaria Baldwin shared an image of her post-baby body to Instagram but it hasn’t gone down well with some fans.
ICYMI Hilaria Baldwin has just welcomed her fourth child with her husband Alec Baldwin, a son named Romeo.
In a bid to try and ‘normalise the post-partum figure’ Hilaria shared a candid mirror selfie taken just 24 hours after giving birth.
“I always post a photo in this mirror in my hospital room within 24 hours after having my babies,” she wrote in the accompanying caption.
“My purpose here is to normalise the postpartum figure and over the next days, weeks, and months, show you how I strengthen my body and return to my non pregnant self.
“We all come in different shapes, sizes and health experiences…but given the right love and care, we can feel really good within our skin. We just have to be patient and kind with our bodies.”
After promising to share her previous post-partum selfies, she signed off her post “I have so much respect and admiration for the human body…I hope that intention shines through and we can insire each other to be healthier and happier.”
Some women praised the mum-of-four for her bravery in sharing the unfiltered post.
“Thanks always for keeping it real,” one fan wrote.
“Thanks…sooo many young mothers aren’t aware the human body is resilient when treated properly,” added another.
“So happy to see somebody relevant share this empowering message,” another fan commented.
But not everyone agreed that the image was conveying the message Hilaria claimed and some people believed instead it added to the post-baby body pressure.
“I don’t think this is normalising the post-partum figure,” one user wrote. “Most women are not wearing a sexy looking black bra and underwear the day after they give birth. To each his own BUT I don’t think this post is normalising anything.”
“Would not be doing this one day after delivering a child. Too many other things to think about. Most women do not look like this after delivery so I’m not sure if this is helping anyone but yourself,’ another woman added.
“She is such a narcissist! The only reason she is posting these pictures is for everyone to say how wonderful she looks,” another user commented.
