Country music fans can all agree that there are some musicians so iconic that you don't even have to call them by their full name—Dolly, Carrie, Reba, and now a dynamic duo's story is headed to your television screen. From the same network that gave us Yellowstone comes the unique and turbulent love story of George Jones and Tammy Wynette.
Starring Jessica Chastain and Michael Shannon, George & Tammy is inspired by the true events of George and Tammy's tumultuous relationship, career and devotion to one another. Remembered as the "First Lady of Country Music," Tammy Wynette's "Stand By Your Man" remains one of her most well-known songs. After marrying George Jones, the two went on to achieve 30 number one songs between them, including duets like "We're Gonna Hold On" and "Near You."
