Converting Porsche 911s into high-speed off-roaders is wildly popular these days. But some are more ridiculous than others. An example of the latter is this Baja 911 constructed by Russell Built Fabrication. With some gigantic fender flares and over a foot of suspension travel, it can get over pretty much anything. Now, it can be yours.

This particular Baja 911 is the original prototype built by Russell in 2019. Based on a 964-generation 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet, most of the body has been replaced with custom composite or carbon fiber items. It's a full 15 inches wider than before, yet thanks to extensive use of aerospace-grade chromoly, it weighs just 2800 pounds.

The Baja 911 is powered by a 3.8-liter air-cooled flat-six built by Rothsport Road & Race, making roughly 360 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. Power gets to the rear wheels via a G50 six-speed manual transaxle. Inside you'll find an integrated roll cage and an FIA-graded fuel cell. There are also carbon bucket seats and a steering wheel from Sparco. A MoTeC ECU controls the whole car, including the info that appears on the digital dash.

The car, listed in Sun Valley, California via the Collecting Cars auction website right now, has driven just 5600 miles since the build was completed. Even though there are seven days left, the bidding has already reached $150,059. Considering just how much work has gone into this car, we bet it'll get even higher by next week.
