Henry Winkler: ‘Taylor Swift is very lucky’ to have Chiefs’ Travis Kelce as boyfriend

Here is something that just three months ago I never could have imagined knowing: there is an Instagram account called Taylor Swift Jets.

As you may have deduced, it tracks where Swift’s private jets fly, and that account said her 2009 Dassault Falcon 7x landed at the downtown airport on Monday.

Swift’s final tour date of 2023 was Sunday in São Paulo, Brazil, so it would make sense if she flew back to Kansas City to see her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

The Chiefs returned from Las Vegas on Sunday following their 31-17 victory over the Raiders at Allegiant Stadium.

This high-profile romance is a topic that pops up in all sorts of unexpected places, such as a TMZ interview with actor Henry Winkler.

Winkler was signing autographs for fans recently when he answered questions about his favorite football team, the Chiefs.

One topic was that open invitation for Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, to have dinner at Winkler’s home. It apparently has yet to take place.

“I think,” Winkler said, “he fibbed to me.”

Winkler then was asked if Kelce was a bigger star than Mahomes because of the Chiefs tight end’s main squeeze.

“No, but they are connected, no pun intended, at the hip,” Winkler said of Mahomes and Kelce. “So they depend on each other.”

He then mentioned the Swift/Kelce relationship: “It is a great couple to watch and Taylor Swift is very lucky.”

Winkler hasn’t met Kelce, but he did see the Chiefs tight end wearing a T-shirt that said “Football, Family, Fonzie” at last season’s game against the Chargers at SoFi Stadium.

“I now have it,” Winkler said of the shirt while on the “Rich Eisen Show” in May. “But I never got to meet this wonderful man who was incredible on ‘Saturday Night Live.’ Was he not unbelievable?”

That came after Kelce hosted SNL earlier this year. Swift, by the way, was proud of Kelce reaching 11,000 receiving yards faster than any tight end in NFL history, as she liked a Chiefs Instagram post about it.
