Heavy Rain Prompts Flood Warnings in Sydney

Heavy rainfall over New South Wales prompted flood warnings for major rivers in greater Sydney on Thursday, October 6, just months after the city was hit by severe flooding.

Sydney recorded its wettest year since rainfall records began in 1858, the ABC reported on Thursday.

In September, the Bureau of Meteorology forecast Australia would experience a La Nina summer for the third consecutive year. Credit: Anna Mantchakidi via Storyful
