Heavy Flooding Continues in Merced Following Deadly Storms

Heavy road flooding near Merced, California, caused travel difficulties on Wednesday, January 11.

Footage recorded by @journeywithsax shows a road in the Sandy Mush area southwest of Merced.

The California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services said on Wednesday that more than 9,000 people had been evacuated from Merced during the ongoing storms.

Schools in the district had closed on Tuesday, but were reopened on Wednesday.
