The filmed version of acclaimed musical Hamilton is making its way to Disney+ on 3 July for an exclusive launch.

Earlier this year, Disney announced that the film would be hitting cinemas in October 2021 after acquiring the rights, however, it seems in light of the coronavirus it's now being fast-tracked to Disney+.

The play's creator and original star Lin-Manuel Miranda announced the news, sharing that the choice was made "in light of the world turning upside down", referencing to some of the show's lyrics.
