Gwyneth Paltrow and Kourtney Kardashian are both savvy businesswomen, with prominent lifestyle and wellness businesses, Goop and Poosh respectively.

Paltrow launched weekly e-mail newsletter Goop in 2008, which offers wellness and lifestyle advice, as well as insight into the actor-turned-entrepreneur's life.

The brand, which was given its name after author Peter Arnell reportedly advised Paltrow that all successful companies have double Os in their name, not only now has a website but subsequently branched into e-commerce, pop-up shops, wellness summits, a magazine and a Netflix docuseries.

In January, her brand's 'Hands Off My Vagina' candle made the news for being sold in support of women's reproductive rights and freedom.

Since then, there has been speculation that Kardashian, who launched her lifestyle platform Poosh in 2019, copied Paltrow, which the latter has fiercely quashed.

Addressing Kardashian's site, which boasts articles, advice on everything from fashion through to fitness, healthy recipes and product recommendations, Paltrow affirmed that the 'wellness business' has a place for every woman.

This came after a fan asked the 49-year-old if she was upset that Kardashian's brand Poosh copied hers.

She wrote: 'This idea that women need to be in competition is legacy patriarchy bulls***.'

Paltrow added: 'There is room for EVERY woman to fulfil her dreams.'

The Politician star Paltrow did admit to understanding why people would see the industry as competitive.

'I used to fall prey to this kind of thinking years ago, so I understand where it comes from,' she said.

'Now I get so happy when I see new wellness businesses, there is a place for all of us.'

The Oscar winner also addressed Kardashian on a personal level, writing: '@kourtneykardash is a really good person and also #KRAVISFOREVER,' the latter statement of which refers to Kardashian and husband Travis Barker's joint nickname.

While Kardashian doesn't have a business-focussed Netflix show as of yet, she stars in Hulu show The Kardashians - along with her famous family - allowing viewers to see various aspects of her life.

This includes her burgeoning relationship and subsequent marriage with Blink-182 drummer Barker.

The pair recently married for a third time in a Lavish Portofino, Italy ceremony.

Mother-of-three Kardashian reportedly had a legally binding wedding in Santa Barbara prior to the couple's latest nuptials, which they went on to post about on Social media.

And before that, they unofficially tied the knot in Las Vegas.

In January, Kardashian also helped with a charitable cause, using her fame and social media following to help struggling families who've split up, through the nonprofit organisation This Is About Humanity.
