Did I wear my hair in a beehive to school every day ages 14-16? Yes, yes I did. And did I sometimes accessorise it with a string of jumbo pearls as an Alice band, carry a carpet bag, and wear bow adorned shoes that looked like tap shoes? Yes to all of the above. I was devotedly into all things vintage, and Gwen Stefani's latest hair styles are bringing all my pin-up passion flooding back.

Gwen has always been known for mixing and combining that classic vintage aesthetic with street style and high fashion, and she really doesn't disappoint. But this latest look has taken me right back to watching Some Like it Hot on a friday night (isn't that what all teenagers do?), because Hello Marilyn.

Sorry we actually need a moment to recover because she looks so stunning with the full and bouncy platinum curls. A shorter look than usual, she really does look straight out of an old movie.

And props to her hair stylist Suzzette Boozer, because it's not the first vintage look she has utterly slayed this month. She's been working with the star on The Voice and the pair have been knocking it out of the park.

The Emmy nominated stylist delivered the most perfect victory rolls just a week ago. #Drooling.

And this voluminous bob, complete with '60s style flicked up ends had all of us ready to backcomb — something that I learnt from my noughties beehive days, shouldn't be tried on naturally curly hair.
