Gwen Stefani celebrates engagement anniversary to Blake Shelton with rare proposal footage

Gwen Stefani is celebrating her first engagement anniversary by giving fans a rare glimpse of Blake Shelton's proposal.

The former "Voice" coach took to Instagram Sunday and shared a photo and videos of her reaction to Shelton's proposal.

"One year ago today?! 🙏🏻October 17th 2020 we got engaged! @blakeshelton I love you!" Stefani captioned the post.

One of the videos shows Shelton kissing Stefani's cheek as she holds up her hand showing off her engagement ring and excitedly saying, "Look! We just got engaged!" The subsequent posts show Stefani looking surprised as her as the country singer holds her and another shows off her ring.

Earlier this year, the "Hollaback Girl" singer recalled that she "didn't have any idea" that Shelton would propose to her, despite having dated for five years.

"Wasn't expecting it at the moment that it happened, at all. Didn't have any idea, nobody knew," Stefani said while appearing on a January episode of "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon."

"I think he had told my dad on my birthday about two weeks earlier, and I gotta tell you, I was sorta like, 'What's happening with us?' "

The couple tied the knot in July.

The "Today" show reported the ceremony took place on Shelton's Tishomingo, Oklahoma, ranch, in a chapel that Shelton built for Stefani on the grounds. There were 40 guests at the intimate wedding, with "Today" and "Voice" host Carson Daly serving as the officiant.

Stefani wore a custom-made lily white gown with a plunging neckline and a cut-away back, according to a release from designer Vera Wang. The gown was worn with a chapel-length veil that featured the hand-embroidered names of "Gwen" and "Blake" along with the names of Stefani's children – Kingston, 15, Zuma, 13, and Apollo, 7. The names were flanked by two white roses at the hem of the veil.
