Guy Fieri Celebrates French Bulldog Cash’s Birthday, Less Than a Year After Cowboy’s Death

Fieri made a heartfelt post for the beloved pup on his third birthday

Cash Fieri, Guy Fieri’s beloved French bulldog, is 3!

The mayor of Flavortown, 55, made a heartfelt Instagram post celebrating the gorgeous hazel-eyed pup's birthday on Sunday, Sept. 24. The post included a series of photos that capture Cash’s adorable wrinkles — including a handful of life-changing naps, and even a shot of Cash cruising in Fieri’s iconic red convertible.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my wing man, Smokey’s co conspirator, The hiking machine, Sir snores a lot, Protector of the castle, Tv star, Pig Pig, $$$ CASH $$$ Happy 3rd Birthday,” the caption of the Instagram post reads.

A number of fellow celebrity chefs who have been associated with Fieri responded to the post, including Top Chef’s Stephanie Izard. She wrote: "The best."

Alex Guarnaschelli of Iron Chef also added: “WHAT ABOUT SMOKEY BABY DOG.”

Smokey, whom Fieri referred to as “Cash’s co-conspirator,” is Fieri’s other dog. Smokey is a chihuahua, whom Fieri has previously called his “right-hand man.” And despite his tiny frame, Fieri says that Smokey “thinks he’s a big bad rottweiler.”

This passionate homage to Cash came less than a year after Fieri’s treasured German shepherd, Cowboy, passed away. In January, PEOPLE reported that Fieri posted to Instagram about Cowboy’s passing, which took place only a day before his own 55th birthday.

"Today is the saddest day in the Fieri family," Fieri tweeted on Jan. 21, alongside a photo of the pup. "We lost our COWBOY today. He was one-of-a-kind and brought so much love and energy to our family."

Aside from Cash and Smokey, it’s unclear if Fieri currently has any other dogs. Mashed previously reported that Fieri also had a mastiff named Roxy, but it isn’t publicly known if she is still alive or part of the Fieri family, as he has not posted a photo of her on social media for quite a while.

In addition to puppies, Fieri is also a (pet) father to a number of goats. According to a video Fieri posted in December 2021, the Food Network star keeps hundreds goats at his ranch, which is where he films Guy’s Ranch Kitchen. A 2020 article from the Washington Post explains he has about 400 of them, to organically manage the weeds growing on his property. A Delish article also reports that the creator of Donkey sauce also has several peacocks, who are in charge of keeping rattlesnakes off his beloved desert property.

Pets aside, Guy fathered two sons with his wife, Lori: Hunter, 27, and Ryder, 17. Fieri and Lori also raised their nephew, Jules, 23, after the 2011 death of Guy's sister Morgan, who died of melanoma.
