Great Dane Learns to Wipe Mouth After Drinking

Mini, a Great Dane from California, has been getting etiquette tips from her owner, as can be seen in this video of the pooch wiping her snout after drinking so she doesn’t spill and drool all over the floor.

Footage by Rosalie Matthews shows her encouraging Mini to dip her snout into a snuffle mat after drinking out of a bowl.

Matthews runs an Instagram account for her Great Danes Tiny and Mini. She told Storyful: “They drool excessively and when they drink water, they hold a lot of it in their large jowls. When they walk away from the water bowl, the water pours out of their mouths all over the floor.”

She added that she had trained both dogs to dry their mouths after drinking.

Her followers agreed with the difficulties caused by drooling dogs, with one even writing that she: “Slipped on a bit of water my doggos trailed in my kitchen (I have tiled floors) and almost broke my ankle!” Credit: Rosalie Matthews via Storyful
