Our Girl has done it again.

You'd think the BBC One series would know better than to mess with its established couples, after sparking outrage when it killed off Georgie Lane's (Michelle Keegan) love Elvis Harte (Luke Pasqualino) at the end of the last block of episodes.

Fans have only just stopped complaining about Our Girl robbing Georgie and Elvis of their 'Happily Ever After', and now the show is messing with Captain Charles James (Ben Aldridge) and Molly Dawes's (Lacey Turner) marriage.

The two characters link the first two series of Our Girl, having married off-screen before Captain James was shipped off to lead Georgie, Elvis and the rest of 2 Section on their humanitarian tours.

In Tuesday's episode, a mission in Belize went wrong and Captain James ended up impaling his foot. Although Georgie was able to get him to safety, the captain's condition rapidly deteriorated.

As the two discussed their bond with each of their 2 Section crewmates, Captain James shocked viewers by claiming that his feelings for Georgie 'crossed a line' into romantic infatuation.

"Perhaps I've crossed a line when it comes to my feeling for you," he admitted to her, with Georgie responding: "You have feelings for all the guys."

"Elvis has bonded us, Lane. Me and you," he tried telling her.

James was interrupted before he could explain himself further, but viewers were reeling about the possibility of the captain ruining his marriage to Molly to make a play for Georgie:

We'll see how all of this works out when Our Girl continues next Tuesday (June 26) at 9.10pm on BBC One.
