Giovanna Fletcher has been tipped for for victory on I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! - by her brother, TOWIE star Mario Falcone.

The vlogger and author wife of McFly’s Tom Fletcher is set to enter the Welsh wilderness for this year’s very different version of the ITV reality show, which is being filmed in the UK due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Her younger brother, The Only Way Is Essex star Falcone, 32, told The Sun: “I can see her winning. People love Giovanna because of how relatable she is as a mum, and she’s very real.

"There is so much to Giovanna that people haven’t seen that will make people love her even more. I think she’s got a very good chance of getting to the end.

"She is a very strong woman, there is not much that will faze her."

Fletcher, 35, will leave behind her three young sons Buzz, six, Buddy, four, and Max, two, to compete in I’m A Celebrity, alongside the likes of Olympic legend Sir Mo Farah, broadcaster Vernon Kay and 63-year-old Corrie star Beverley Callard.

The show – which is usually filmed in the Australian national park – will take place at Gwrych Castle in North Wales, and the celebs will face freezing cold camp conditions and wet weather, along with the usual basic rations, challenges and creepy crawlies.

Falcone said Fletcher was competitive, strong-minded and didn’t like conflict, but admitted she was scared of heights.

He said: "The only thing she might struggle with is the height stuff, as she’s quite scared of heights."

ITV has already confirmed that one of the line-up - believed to be Strictly Come Dancing’s AJ Pritchard – has tested positive for COVID-19, although it isn’t clear whether that will delay them in joining the contest.

Also taking part this year are actor Shane Richie, journalist and broadcaster Victoria Derbyshire, Paralympic athlete Hollie Arnold, soap actor Jessica Plummer and Radio 1 DJ Jordan North.

I’m A Celebrity begins on Sunday at 9pm on ITV.
