Ginny & Georgia is coming back! The true-to-life mother-daughter drama was a hit with fans when it first dropped on Netflix back in 2021. And we're finally getting more from our leading duo.
To recap, series one focused on 15-year-old Ginny Miller and her 30-year-old mother Georgia. After years of being uprooted, Ginny often feels more mature than her mum - though Georgia attempts to change things by moving to a New England suburb in pursuit of a 'normal life'. However, it doesn't all go to plan, with Georgia's past coming back to get in the way.
The S1 finale saw Ginny running away from home with little brother Austin, leaving plenty of open doors for the season two plot. Here's what you need to know about Ginny & Georgia season two.
Is there a Ginny & Georgia season 2 trailer?
Netflix first shared a one-minute glimpse at the new season on 1 December, showing what happens when Georgia discovers that Ginny and Austin have skipped town. And yep, it's intense. Have a watch here.
Speaking about the moment, series creator Sarah Lampert told Netflix's Tudum, "We wanted to pick up the story right where we left off. We left it off on such a juicy cliffhanger."

When will Ginny & Georgia season 2 be released?
It's official: Ginny & Georgia season two will be released on 5 January. So that's not too long to wait! Netflix confirmed the news in an Instagram post on 1 December, writing, "welcome back peaches. season 2 of GINNY & GEORGIA is coming JANUARY 5!!"
What a New Year's treat.

Alongside the release date announcement, Netflix also dropped a whole load of first-look images from season two. We can see things getting tense between Georgia & Ginny's dad Zion. Plus, it looks like there's romance all round, with Ginny and Georgia seemingly going strong with Marcus and Paul.

When was Ginny & Georgia season 2 confirmed?
Netflix first confirmed that Ginny & Georgia season two was happening all the way back on 19 April 2021. So this season has been a *long* time coming (almost two years in the making!).
The streamer shared the news via a sweet video montage of the show's cast gushing about the second instalment. They wrote, "Cue the champagne toasts and grab the vegan cheesecake. Ginny & Georgia will return for Season 2, only on Netflix."
Who will be in the Ginny & Georgia season 2 cast?
Of course, our two leads Antonia Gentry and Brianne Howey are coming back as titular characters Ginny and Georgia.
