Social care funding and reform proposals set to be delivered by 2028
The government has launched an independent commission to "transform social care" - but proposals for major reform may not be delivered for years. The two-part commission will be led by Baroness Louise Casey, with the latter phase set to make its final recommendations for social care in England by the end of 2028. Friday's announcement marks the first step towards a National Care Service, which was pledged by Labour in its general election manifesto.

SEOUL (Reuters) -Authorities entered impeached South Korean President Yoon Suk's compund on Friday to execute an unprecedented arrest warrant, evading a crowd of protesters outside, but were confronted with presidential security forces inside. It was unclear whether the Presidential Security Service (PSS), which has previously blocked access by investigators with a search warrant to Yoon's office and official residence, would try to stop him being arrested. Yoon is under criminal investigation for insurrection over his Dec. 3.
