Gavin & Stacey's Rob Brydon confirms Barbie movie cameo
Barbie will please Gavin & Stacey fans in particular, as Rob Brydon has a cameo role.
Painting cinema screens pink later this week, director Greta Gerwig's toy-meets-real-world movie boasts Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling as the iconic Barbie and Ken, with faces from Sex Education, Love Island, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Peacemaker along for the ride too.
Brydon recently confirmed his involvement over on Twitter, writing: "Had a great time at the Barbie premiere celebrating my pivotal role as Sugar Daddy Ken. When you go to see this amazing film please don't blink."

As for how this Hollywood gig materialised for the Welshman, the star told Virgin Radio and other press at Barbie's European premiere: "I think this came about because I had a message a few years ago that Margot Robbie was a big fan of Uncle Bryn and would I record a message for her birthday.
"So I recorded a video for her. I think maybe this part is her way of saying thank you."
Brydon recalled: "I said: 'Hello Margot. I've loved you in all your films and I'll tell you for why...' So when I met her on the set, she said: 'Ah, thank you so much for that message...' So that was quite nice."

Teasing his "very brief" outing as the plastic Sugar Daddy Ken, he joked: "My wife and I are in a debate whether I'll be in it for three seconds or four seconds.
"I thought Sugar Daddy Ken had connotations but apparently it's his dog who's called Sugar and he's his daddy. I was relieved to hear that."
Barbie heads to cinemas this Friday (July 21).
